Jessie started dancing tango in 1996 and was one of the founders of the Edinburgh Tango Society.

She has danced the roles of leader and follower from her first year of dancing. She has studied with many teachers, however her biggest influences are Chicho Frumboli, Gustavo and Giselle Anne, Sebastian and Marianna, Claudia and Esteban, Nancy and Damian amongst many other great teachers…

She has taught in Edinburgh for over 20 years initially at Dance for All studios where she taught as a follower with Marcel, and subsequently as a leader with Mayumi Fujio, Monica Tamariz and Alexia Gaitanou. She also taught workshops regularly with visiting teachers including Julio Mendez, Eric Jørissen, Alex Krebs , Jean-Sébastien Rampazzi and Bennie Bartels. Now she runs regular practicas on Tuesday at 7pm and gives occasional private lessons.

Jessie is also a regular DJ at the Counting House.
