Wait, who’s leading?

With connection as our most cherished priority, we will explore the many possibilities of role switching; how we might offer or decline a role-switch. We will offer positions and tools you might use as you develop your own style of role-switching.

Welcoming dancers who already play with role-switching and those who want to begin their exploration of the other roles with us.   We will highlight some of the similarities between the roles of leader and follower and how we might blur these definitions to find a play between roles – perhaps discovering something new, clumsy or splendid!

Practising an attentive awareness to impulses and sensation in the body can allow us to more easily connect through the roles and hold space for our partner to do the same.  

This workshop will be a space to indulge our own and our partners’ creative unfoldings.  

Level: Open to all. Everyone is welcome.  

Participants are welcome to come for free, we’d like to have a suggested donation of £3.
