About this event

We are delighted and honoured to have Andres “Tanguito’’ Cejas teaching in Edinburgh for two nights only on Wednesday 19th October and Thursday 20th October. For this series of special workshops Andres will be assisted by tango dancer and teacher Julieta Pineda.  

ABOUT ANDRES:
Master of masters, he is one of the top level worldwide references of Tango Salon style. Main disciple of the legend Osvaldo Zotto, and leading the transmission of his style to the young generations. A style that was recorded by Zotto and Tanguito in the first ever tango course on video, that became a learning source and inspiration in the beginning of the 90´s for all professional dancers in Argentina and all around the world afterwards.

WORKSHOP 1:
Musicality in tango walks and movements: Adapting to different orchestras. Special musicality workshop with live bandoneon!
Time: Wednesday 19 October at 6:30pm to 8:00pm

WORKSHOP 2:
Changes of dynamics and giros: Lead and communication and how to interpret this for followers.
Time: Wednesday 19 October at 8:15pm to 9:45pm

Level: Intermediate to Advanced

WORKSHOP 3:
Techniques for better tango and development of improvisation skills. With live bandoneon!
Time: Thursday 20 October at 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: Charteris Centre, 138/140 Pleasance, Edinburgh EH8 9RR
Level: Improver to Advanced
Practica: The class is followed by the Tango del Jueves practica.

You can reserve your place in advance at class and at the Thursday practica or via email embrace@oriatango.com You can also turn up on the day. You will be able to join as a single dancer and/or with a partner. Payment in cash only please. On the day or in advance.
